STILL UNDER CONTRUCTION
in my own words
in God's own words

For 2000 years, following all of Satan's lies, great is the confusion about Salvation, and it is oh so rare to hear the pure truth about it. That is why it is necessary to take the time to make it perfectly clear; at the risk of repeating some things, in different ways.

Because your soul is the "hidden treasure", the "pearl of great price"; and it is God, Yahweh, who sells everything, to have this treasure, this pearl: To save your precious soul.

IN MY HEAD - Intellectually - IT IS NOT ENOUGH

Knowing the facts of the Gospel:

  • Jesus died on the cross
  • He was buried
  • He was resurrected on the third day

That is good, but that does not save anybody:

"Even Believing in God"

19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.

James 2:19

IN MY GUTS - Emotionally - IS NOT ENOUGH EITHER

Believing God's testimony about the facts of the Gospel.

  • Jesus really died on the cross, shedding His blood for the Salvation of sinners
  • He was buried
  • He was resurrected on the third day, accomplishing the Scriptures and as a promise of the resurrection of those who will believe on him.

That's better, but even then this doesn't save anybody:

"Even Believing that Jesus is the Savior of the World"

21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

Matthew 7:21

Because it stays "outside of my soul", like saying that "Jesus is the Savior of the whole world", yes, but He is the Savior of those who believe in Him personnally.

One may believe that he does not need Salvation; (like I first believed) or the opposite, that he is too great a sinner to be saved; unworthy of or beyond Salvation (like I did believe also).

BELIEVING WITH ALL MY HEART - Willfully - THAT'S IT!

Put my entire trust in the sufficiency of Jesus's sacrifice for my Salvation.

Believing that the witness of God pertaining to the facts of the Gospel applies to me;

that Jesus's blood has been shed for me: for my eternal Salvation

  • Jesus died on the cross to pay by his blood all my debts unto the LORD.
  • He was buried with my old nature
  • He was resurrected the third day to prove my future resurrection.

36 And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized?

37 And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.

Acts 8:36-37

Rely entirely and uniquely on Jesus for our Salvation

Like Jesus relied entirely and uniquely on Yahweh.

46 And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit: and having said thus, he gave up the ghost.

Luke 23:46

Give allegiance:"eating his flesh and drinking his blood":
abandoning oneself unto Jesus

Counting on Him and on nobody else, surely not on our own justice and good works, or on our birth, parents and lineage.

Jesus only Savior by the giving of His blood.

We must be able to say: ''Jesus died for me''

8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Romans 5:8

Believing that Jesus is a qualified Savior: That He is God himself, manifested in the flesh, therefore he can forgive sins.

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

John 1:1

28 And Thomas answered and said unto him, My LORD and my God.

29 Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.

John 20:28-29

8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.

9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.

Colossians 2:8-9

16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

1Timothy 3:16

... And that all he has promied will come to pass.

14 And God hath both raised up the Lord, and will also raise up us by his own power.

1Corinthians 6:14

EXAMPLES ILLUSTRATING SALVATION IN THE BIBLE

EXAMPLE #1 - "The LORD had laid on him the iniquity of us all." - Isaiah 53

Like I said earlier, this is a question of discernment, of revelation. Some will read this bible chapter and see only poetry, some will see the eternal Salvation of their soul. To believe God's testimony about Jesus is to be saved!

1 Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed?

Jesus does not have a beauty based on appearances, easy to admire;

2 For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.

Quite the contrary, he appears despicable and rejected from most of humanity.

3 He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.

He has borne our illnesses and sufferings, and seemed cursed of God.

4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.

5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.

7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.

[13 Then said Pilate unto him, Hearest thou not how many things they witness against thee? 14 And he answered him to never a word; insomuch that the governor marvelled greatly.- Matthew 27:13-14]

8 He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken.

Crucified between two malefactors, and put in a rich man's grave.

9 And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth.

It was the LORD's will that Jesus would suffer and die as a sacrifice for sin. Thus many children will be born of God. And God will give Jesus sovereignty over everything.

10 Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand.

He will justify many: Those who will know of and believe in His sacrifice, for Jesus will bear their iniquities.

11 He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.

12 Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.

Isaiah 53:1-12

EXAMPLE # 2 - "Jesus et Nicodemus" - John 3:14-21

John 3:16 is the best known verse in the Bible. And rightly so, because it says WHY God sent Jesus. It is part of the meeting of Jesus and Nicodemus. Let us study it in context: John 3:14 to 21.

14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:

This makes reference to the passage below, where the Israelites are bitten by serpents and killed by their poison:

[ 7 Therefore the people came to Moses, and said, We have sinned, for we have spoken against the LORD, and against thee; pray unto the LORD, that he take away the serpents from us. And Moses prayed for the people. 8 And the LORD said unto Moses, Make thee a fiery serpent, and set it upon a pole: and it shall come to pass, that every one that is bitten, when he looketh upon it, shall live. 9 And Moses made a serpent of brass, and put it upon a pole, and it came to pass, that if a serpent had bitten any man, when he beheld the serpent of brass, he lived. - Numbers 21:7-9]

This is an image of men (Israelites) beguiled (bitten) by Satan (serpents) and dying spiritually (physically) by his lies (poison).

15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

Are condemned, those who do not believe God's own testimony, they continue in Satan's rebellion: By refusing to believe God and siding with Satan. They believe Satan rather than God.

18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

Jesus even gives the very reason of his rejection by many.

19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

Him that consciously prefers to do evil, keeps his actions from coming to light, because he knows that these actions are evil.

20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.

He who acts in truth, comes unto God.

21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

John 3:14-21

EXAMPLE #3 - "Philip and the eunuch" - Acts 8:26-39

Philip is directed by the Holy Spirit to speak to an eunuch who is reading the book of Isaiah, without really understanding it.

26 And the angel of the Lord spake unto Philip, saying, Arise, and go toward the south unto the way that goeth down from Jerusalem unto Gaza, which is desert.

27 And he arose and went: and, behold, a man of Ethiopia, an eunuch of great authority under Candace queen of the Ethiopians, who had the charge of all her treasure, and had come to Jerusalem for to worship,

28 Was returning, and sitting in his chariot read Esaias the prophet.

29 Then the Spirit said unto Philip, Go near, and join thyself to this chariot.

30 And Philip ran thither to him, and heard him read the prophet Esaias, and said, Understandest thou what thou readest?

31 And he said, How can I, except some man should guide me? And he desired Philip that he would come up and sit with him.

32 The place of the scripture which he read was this, He was led as a sheep to the slaughter; and like a lamb dumb before his shearer, so opened he not his mouth:

33 In his humiliation his judgment was taken away: and who shall declare his generation? for his life is taken from the earth.

34 And the eunuch answered Philip, and said, I pray thee, of whom speaketh the prophet this? of himself, or of some other man?

35 Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him Jesus.

Philip explained to the eunuch that Jesus, the very son of God, was to come in the world to redeem the souls of those who believe on him. The eunuch's response proves that he understood perfectly all that Philip explained to him from the scriptures.

36 And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized?

37 And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.

38 And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him.

39 And when they were come up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught away Philip, that the eunuch saw him no more: and he went on his way rejoicing.

Acts 8:26-39

item11

1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; 2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. 3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: (1Corinthians15:1-4)

8 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; 9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. (Romans 10:8-9)

15 Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein. (Mark 10:15)
